Once your trademark is registered, it is important to keep track of new registrations to identify any identical or similar trademarks that may infringe upon your own earlier trademark. 

Typically, there are no checks during the application process to determine whether similar or identical trademarks have already been registered. 

Therefore, as the owner of a registered trademark, it is your responsibility to monitor and protect it.
